Bespoke tours in Southern Africa

Ovamboland

It is the home of the Owambo people, who represent about 50% of the population and have a rich and interesting culture. At the very north of the country, it offers a different aspect of Namibia. A colourful array of shebeens, also known as cuca shops, are scattered along the roadside, their quirky names adding humour and character to the Namibian landscape. Animals here have right of way, and it is not rare to see donkeys and other cattle crossing the road. Interspersed with palm trees and baobabs, its landscapes are like nowhere else.
