Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park is the third largest game reserve in Botswana, but it boasts one of the largest concentrations of elephants in the African continent. The national park takes its name from the Chobe River, which supports an ecosystem of varied animals including birds, elephants, lions, giraffes, baboons and buffalo. During the winter, and dryer season, it is possible to see herds of hundreds of elephants coming to drink at a time, playfully enjoying a bath or trying to swim across the river... On top of game drives in the park, experiencing a safari during a boat excursion on the river, and looking at the animals coming to the Chobe waterfront, is definitely worth it!
